the weekender
Wow, I have always been one to try and accomplish things on my days off work or now my husbands days off work, but it is amazing how many projects need to be done. We have now reached a point in our life where the weekend trips and get aways that we did before kids, where we would just get in the car a drive to the beach for just a day or a spur of the moment camping night out, are not longer. One: the babies don't like to spend the day in the car for just a couple hours of running around just to get back in the car and go home, two: gas is ridiculous, and three: there is just too many thing we need to get done around the house! So now, it is the weekend projects. In the winter months it is paint the laundry room or fix the bathroom, new floor in the bed room, remodel the living room or fix the kitchen lights and cabinets. These summer months it has been plant grass in the back yard-check, weed the flower beds-check, build the garden planter-in progress, put up a fence in the back yard-in progress, build kids sand box-next in line, burn brush piles-also next in line, and so on....... On average, four out of five weekends are spent at the house working on projects with a weekend here or there to just get the kids out away from the house for something different for them, with a train ride for my sons bday or a parade and treats, or a trip to the mountains to run around with the dogs. Time seems to go by so much faster when you have kids one day you are holding them in your lap and the next they are running around the yard, playing in mud puddles or starting to talk. Wow

stay at home mom!!!?
I love being a stay at home mom. Yes my kids are true kids that are not on their best behavior 24/7, but for the most part our days are good. There are times when I feel like a slave to my life, yes I have my chores that are the everyday and some extras other days. But when I only ask a few things of my family to help out around the house I would like them to do those things in a timely manner. When they procrastinate it makes me very upset that they cannot respect me enough to do the things I ask. I felt very guilty at first asking them to do so, but then I realized that I may not be the one making the money, but I do take care of 2 kids and clean and cook and I do need help. I know a lot of super moms and single moms that can do it all. Right on to you! I just don't like felling trampled on.

talking to eath other
I am very lucky to have such great neighbors. It may seem very strange to some people but I do not even have my neighbors phone number. We simply talk to each other over the fence or we knock on the door. We talk face to face, no phone, computer ect... As a whole our society has become so dependent on electronics that we no longer have any personal contact with each other. Even our grocery stores have self check out lines, this only seems to alienate us from other people and it takes jobs away. I don't even like my local grocery store anymore, for the fact that it has become more corporate "get the job done" than it used to be community orientated. Even some of my family perfers to text message then to just call and talk no matter how long or short it may be.

Ice cream for breakfast
Any mom of two kids would know, two or more is way different then just one. You can follow one but two will run in opposite directions. If one starts to cry the other one probably will also. I decided to start a blog this morning just because my kids will say and do the funniest things. It is also nice to do something for me while they have their wake up routine. So after they ate their waffles and were sitting nice watching mickey mouse, my son (almost 3) says "I want ice cream" over and over. He love junk food, he dreams of chocolate. About three weeks ago he was asleep on the couch ( getting him to sleep in his bed is one of the hardest things ever) about 2am I came out to check on him, when i covered him up he rolled over and told me that he wanted chocolate milk and M&M's. He then went back to sleep and all I could do was stand there and look at him. He dose not get a lot of chocolate during the day, but at least I know he has sweet dreams. :)
